ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking a Concrete Quality Control Technician Apprentice who's ready to learn, put your skills to work on projects that matter - and build a career with a company that's building North America. 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Accelerated Competency Program: Prioritizes rapid proficiency during the initial 60-day onboarding phase.

  • Mentorship-Led Onboarding: Highlights daily guidance and support from experienced senior staff.

  • Learns to maintain mix designs as required by the project, DOT or local city/county specifications.
  • Collects samples and performs accurate quality control testing to ensure product quality under supervision.

  • Assist in the investigation and testing, and sampling of raw materials to help solve quality problems.

  • Provides verbal and/or written test results to management and production staff in a timely manner.

  • Learns to ensure that all testing is conducted efficiently and consistently to ensure accurate results.
  • Assists with customer service issues as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS 

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

  • Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed.

  • Prepare required documents with test results to be presented to production personnel and quality control management.

  • Examines laboratory samples to determine their physical properties and determine conformity.

  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

  • Records and prepares summaries of findings using various databases.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Teamwork with QC, operations and drivers.

  • Self motivated.

  • Positive communication with customers and labs during issues.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Travel Requirements:  30-40%

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
