Job description

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an experienced EPC Lead Document Control Coordinator to take ownership of document control operations onsite for large-scale Power projects. In this field-based leadership role, you’ll manage engineering drawings, RFIs, submittals, and turnover documentation while serving as the onsite Autodesk Construction Cloud administrator. You’ll work side-by-side with construction, engineering, subcontractors, and client teams to ensure accurate, real-time document flow that keeps projects compliant and on schedule. Position Summary

The Lead Document Control Coordinator will support large-scale EPC projects within the Power market. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating all document control activities at the assigned construction job site, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant control of engineering, procurement, construction, and turnover documentation throughout the project lifecycle

The position requires full-time presence at the project job site and close coordination with engineering, construction, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure proper document flow and real-time field support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all document control activities at the project job site.
  • Maintain control of engineering drawings, specifications, vendor data, RFIs, submittals, field revisions, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure the latest approved revisions are distributed to construction teams and obsolete documents are removed from circulation.
  • Serve as the onsite administrator for document management systems, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Process and track transmittals, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, and other project records.
  • Coordinate directly with field engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure timely document flow.
  • Monitor document status to support construction sequencing and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare turnover packages and support commissioning documentation requirements.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using Power BI or project reporting tools to track document metrics and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and Power industry regulations.
  • Support audits and maintain document integrity and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4–8 years of document control experience, with EPC project experience required.
  • Direct experience working onsite at construction sites.
  • Experience supporting Power market projects (generation, substations, transmission, or related infrastructure preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, construction documentation, and turnover processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar document management systems.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with field and management teams.

  • Full-time presence at assigned project job site is required.
  • Ability to work in construction site environments, including exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • Must comply with all site safety requirements and PPE standards.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by field operations.
