Job description

CAD Document Control Specialist

Location: Tualatin, OR (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $35–38/hour

Employment Type: 12-month Contract on W2 with possible extensions


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Document Control Specialist to support facility engineering, construction, and infrastructure documentation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on maintaining engineering drawings, managing document control systems, updating as-built documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams with CAD and facilities-related documentation needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings, and experience supporting document management processes in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments.


Key Responsibilities

CAD & Drawing Management

  • Maintain and update site plans and facility drawings, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, process piping, P&IDs, instrumentation & control drawings, evacuation maps, and fire riser maps
  • Incorporate project close-out documentation into as-built drawings and update CAD files provided by engineering and construction teams
  • Create and modify detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, notes, and field information
  • Correct incoming files for layering consistency and drawing standards compliance
  • Update electrical panel schedules and single-line drawings based on field modifications
  • Perform field audits and measurements to validate drawing accuracy and update documentation accordingly

Document Control & Records Management

  • Maintain centralized electronic and physical document management systems
  • Organize, store, retrieve, and distribute engineering and project documentation securely
  • File project close-out packages, permits, and related records
  • Support document revision control, approvals, and distribution processes
  • Search repositories and provide requested documentation to stakeholders in a timely manner

Facilities & Systems Support

  • Support facilities and infrastructure teams with equipment layouts and plotting to-scale templates
  • Assist with future CAD integration initiatives involving Facilities Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS)
  • Utilize systems such as Tririga for work order management and status tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, facilities, and operations teams to support ongoing projects and updates


Required Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD and engineering drawing maintenance
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of architectural and engineering drawing principles
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, piping, and instrumentation drawings
  • Experience with document control processes and revision management
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, facilities, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, instrumentation drawings, and facility infrastructure documentation
  • Experience with Tririga or other Facilities Management/IWMS platforms
  • Experience supporting engineering or construction project close-out documentation
  • Exposure to field verification and facility audits
