Provides hands-on leadership to oversee daily dock operations, ensuring the efficient flow and prioritization of incoming and outgoing shipments. Directs staff, maintains continuous workflow, and resolves operational issues to support safe, accurate, and timely distribution activities.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversees and coordinates daily dock operations to maintain efficient, accurate, and continuous flow of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Directs workflow and assigns resources in real time, adjusting staffing and priorities to meet operational demands and delivery timelines.
  • Manages the intake and prioritization of freight, including time-sensitive, temperature-controlled, and high-priority shipments.
  • Serves as a central point of communication with internal departments, vendors, and transportation teams to ensure visibility, resolve issues, and support timely delivery.
  • Identifies and resolves operational exceptions, including discrepancies, returns, and problem shipments, to minimize disruption to dock flow.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and compliant dock environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational best practices.
  • Provides on-floor leadership and oversight, reinforcing productivity, accountability, and consistent work output across shifts.

Education Requirement:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, required.
Experience:
Five years of Shipping and Receiving experience, required.
