Role: Network Systems Engineer
Location: Winston-Salem, NC

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Network Systems Engineer (Voice & DNA Center) is a specialized technical resource responsible for managing Cisco DNA Center environment and supporting the voice systems infrastructure. This role bridges systems-level engineering with voice platform administration to ensure consistent network operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cisco DNA Center Administration
Validate and maintain property accounting within Cisco DNA Center for US network assets
• Manage and maintain Cisco NAC (Network Access Control) configurations for US network
• Administer Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) policies and configurations
• Apply global standards and templates to US Network through DNA Center
• Monitor network health and compliance through DNA Center dashboards and analytics
Voice Systems Engineering
• Provide systems-level support for Cisco Call Manager and voice infrastructure configurations
• Support the technical engineering aspects of the planned Microsoft Teams voice migration
• Maintain and troubleshoot voicemail systems and associated integrations
• Assist in coordinating Cisco SmartNet support for EOL IP phones during the transition period
• Develop and document voice system migration records and configuration baselines
Network Monitoring & Tooling
Implement and configure SolarWinds as a Network Monitoring Tool for US Devices
• Integrate SolarWinds with ServiceNow ITSM platform for automated incident creation
• Monitor SolarWinds alerts and coordinate response teams
• Assist with troubleshooting system issues at ROC and Plaza locations
Security & Compliance
Support security audit activities and maintain remediation tracking documentation
• Ensure Cisco NAC and ISE policies remain aligned with security standards
• Work with Active Directory team to resolve DHCP-related issues and service disruptions
• Participate in security-related change management processes and documentation
Documentation & Reporting
Produce network architecture documentation, configuration records, and technical diagrams upon request
• Contribute to weekly status reports with updates on DNA Center, voice systems, and monitoring tools
• Maintain infrastructure upgrade plans and implementation logs for all systems under this role's scope
• Document all material changes and communicate outcomes to the Client SPOC
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
5+ years of experience in enterprise network systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, and Cisco NAC
• Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications and voice system administration
• Experience with SolarWinds NMS and ServiceNow ITSM integration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams voice services (Direct Routing preferred)
• Understanding of network security frameworks and access control policies
• CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Collaboration certification preferred
