Job description

Our client company, a successful, well-established, and rapidly-growing specialist company in the Division 8 and Division 10 commercial construction space, is looking to hire a Division Leader for its Division 8 business unit. The Division Leader will be responsible for full ownership of the business unit's operations, including P&L. This is a leadership position which will be in charge of a team of field personnel, estimators, and project managers and ensure that the team delivers their projects on time and within budget. There will be some travel involved in this role, mainly to large GCs, builders, architects, and developers throughout the SouthEast. Other responsibilities include:


  • Full P&L ownership of the division;
  • Creating and managing Operational Strategy for the division;
  • Creating Risk Management strategies such as reviewing project contracts for feasibility and resolving issues;
  • Hiring, training, and mentoring project managers, estimators, and other personnel;
  • Conducting performance reviews for the team by establishing KPIs and tracking performance;
  • Managing the communication between teams such as estimating, warehousing, field installation, and project management;
  • Developing business by maintaining and cultivating relationships with large GCs, architects, and developers;
  • Managing the bid process for large commercial accounts;
  • Working with Vendors to negotiate prices, rebates, and supply chain agreements with suppliers;


To be qualified for an interview, candidates MUST HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience in Division 8 leadership;
  • 3+ years of experience in a Leadership role managing a team and P
  • Strong knowledge of Division 8 products such as doors, hardware, access control systems, and so on;
  • Strong understanding of building codes, guidelines, and regulations;
  • A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Admin, or similar;
  • Industry Credentials such as AHC, CDC, or EHC highly preferred;
  • Experience with industry-specific software such as PROCORE or others;


Our client company is offering a strong base salary plus an uncapped bonus potential based on project profitability as well as a full suite of benefits, vehicle allowance, and an additional bonus based on the growth of the Division 8 Business Unit.
