This full-time position plays an important role in the day-to-day coordination of transportation operations, helping ensure drivers, equipment, freight, and customer needs are managed safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

As a Dispatcher with Colville Transport, you will help coordinate daily transportation activities and serve as a key communication link between drivers, customers, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers, equipment, and freight based on operational and customer needs.
  • Communicate assignments, schedules, changes, and other important information to drivers in a clear and timely manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding transportation needs, scheduling, and service updates.
  • Monitor driver and equipment status and adjust assignments as operational needs change.
  • Assist with coordinating shipping, receiving, and freight-handling activities.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, data entry, and tracking information.
  • Help ensure transportation activities are conducted in accordance with company safety requirements and applicable DOT and transportation regulations.
  • Work closely with operations, drivers, warehouse personnel, and other departments to resolve scheduling or service issues.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to changing priorities, delays, weather conditions, equipment issues, and other operational challenges.
  • Support a safe, organized, and service-focused work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
