What You'll Do
  • Dispatch Operations amp; Fleet Coordination: Manage all dispatch functions, including scheduling, routing, and driver assignments, using dispatch technology to support realโ€‘time operations. Ensure efficient and reliable movement of goods and equipment while monitoring workflows, service levels, and fleet utilization. Serve as the primary escalation point for dispatch, routing, delivery issues, and operational disruptions.
  • Driver Supervision amp; Leadership: Directly supervise fleet drivers, including scheduling, dayโ€‘toโ€‘day oversight, coaching, performance management, and corrective action. Ensure drivers understand and comply with company policies, safety standards, and operational expectations. Support driver onboarding, training, and ongoing education related to dispatch procedures, compliance, and safety. Promote effective communication among drivers, operations, and leadership.
  • Fleet Maintenance amp; Equipment Coordination: Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe, roadโ€‘ready condition. Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and support compliance with DOT vehicle standards. Track vehicle condition, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and service records. Partner with internal maintenance teams and/or external vendors to address maintenance needs.
  • Administrative amp; Reporting Responsibilities: Maintain accurate dispatch records, schedules, and fleet data. Prepare operational and performance reports as requested. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality.
  • Safety: Promote a safetyโ€‘first culture by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring preโ€‘trip, postโ€‘trip, and operational safety procedures are consistently followed.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the Fleet amp; Dispatch Supervisor must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Education/Experience:
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in dispatch, transportation, or fleet operations
  • Experience managing dispatch software and transportation systems
  • Working knowledge of DOT and FMSCA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and vehicle compliance
  • Prior experience supervising CDL drivers or operational staff
  • High school diploma or equipment required
  • Experience coordinating fleet maintenance preferred
  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field a plus
