At Disney Experiences Technology (DXT), our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company's premier vacation brands including Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club.

We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all DXT initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

About The Role & Team

Reporting to the Director of User Experience Design, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for architecting high-conversion, guest-centric transactional ecosystems across our domestic and international digital storefronts. You will partner with cross-functional leadership in Product and Technology to optimize complex commerce funnels and booking engines, ensuring that every digital touchpoint-from discovery to checkout-is both frictionless and magically immersive.

As a seasoned design leader, you will drive a data-informed design culture, leveraging user insights and performance metrics to innovate and scale our global E-commerce platforms. You will orchestrate teams of designers to deliver exceptionally crafted, secure, and scalable transactional experiences across all screens. This role offers an unmatched platform to bridge the gap between digital retail and physical park experiences, redefining how guests plan and purchase their Disney memories at a global scale.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Establish the overall design direction and strategy for enhancing the functionality of user interfaces across the current and future E-commerce product suite.

  • Define new ways of working and partner with managers to establish processes in emerging spaces. Evaluate team feedback to continuously increase quality and efficiency.

  • Proactively track design trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and drive portfolio-wide innovation.

Representation & Influence

  • Represent the team cross-functionally with executive leadership across segments, advocating for the team's identity, visibility, and strategic positioning.

  • Ensure the team is seamlessly connected to other business units, keeping communication flowing and collaboration models clear.

  • Cultivate strong relationships at all levels to drive strategy and innovation, voicing technical and design recommendations that align with project goals for on-time delivery.

Coaching & Team Development

  • Bring coaching and mentorship models to the leads and managers on your team, ensuring a consistent and unified approach to professional development across all career levels.

  • Support the resolution of complex interpersonal issues and team dynamics, using an elevated vantage point to provide objective perspectives and resolve problems within the team or with direct partners.

  • Design and maintain feedback mechanisms to ensure a healthy system of checks and balances in management and power dynamics.

Resource & Financial Management

  • Oversee team resource strategy and ensure adherence to operating requirements.

  • Contribute to forecasting and accrual processes to maintain financial integrity and support broader organizational objectives.

Values & Culture

  • Establish, nurture, and evolve the team's values and guiding principles to ensure they remain relevant to changing industry and organizational needs.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience, with at least 3+ years of experience leading teams

  • Someone who enables an inclusive culture that recognizes a diverse group of backgrounds, points of view, and cultural histories to encourage innovation and belonging

  • Experience across multiple areas of business with the ability to lead projects and strategic development across different lines of business

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $171,600 to $230,100 per year, in Orlando, FL is $163,400 to $219,100 per year, and in Seattle, WA is $179,700 to $241,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
