Youth & Young Adult Discipleship Coordinator
Description: Full-Time, Year-Round
Salary Range: $36,000 to $42,000
Projected Start Date: August 20, 2026
St. Philip Parish in Greenville, RI is seeking a Spirit-filled, faithful, creative, and organized individual to work under the direction of the Director of Discipleship & Evangelization to run programming for children, youth and young adults. The candidate must possess a strong moral character, witness to the Catholic Faith, and be knowledgeable of the Catholic Church's teachings. Candidates should be organized, able to communicate well and work with parents and teams. Candidates should expect to be present on campus and fully engaged in the life of the parish. This individual would ideally have a Bachelor's in Theology, Catechetics or other comparable degree and worked in faith formation, youth ministry or other comparable ministries for 2 or more years. Pay will be based on experience and education.
Description of Duties
General
• Works directly under the Pastor and Director to coordinate programming for children, youth and young adults in the light of St. Philip Parish Vision and Mission.
• Meets regularly with the Director for guidance in coordinating the scheduling, planning, and budgeting.
• Ensures that all volunteers are Safe Environment Certified.
• Coordinates Advertisement, Registration and Administration.
• Collects all information to record Sacraments for 1st Communion & Confirmation.
Young Adult Ministry (18-29)
• Creates opportunities for young adults to share in fellowship and faith.
• Organizes a yearly Mission Trip for young adults.
Confirmation Preparation (Grades 6-8)
• Directs the Grade 6-8 Monday Evening Middle School Program.
• Coordinates the Confirmation Team.
• Communicates with parents about classes, formation and events.
Middle and High School Youth Ministry
• Provides opportunities for middle and high school youth discipleship, fellowship and service.
• Works with parents and volunteers to provide support for programming.
• Organizes the yearly trip to the Steubenville East Youth Conference.
• Coordinates the St. Philip Volleyball Team for the Catholic Athletics League.
Kids Discipleship Camp
• Directs Kids Camp as our primary discipleship program for children (PK-5).
• Coordinates the Kids Camp Adult Team to create monthly theme and programming.
• Coordinates the Kids Camp Youth Volunteers.
Grade 2 Sacramental Preparation
• Directs Grade 2 Saturday morning classes and activities with Catechists and volunteers.
• Communicates with parents about classes, formation and events.
Vacation Bible Camp
• Serves on the Team under the Bible Camp Director.
• Coordinates the youth volunteers for Bible Camp.
