Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Specialty: Medical Surgical

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night

Hours per Shift: 12 hours

Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred

License: Active nursing license required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have: Teamwork approach to patient care, focus on patient safety

Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. This is a neuro unit. Patient ratios are 1:6. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event or disaster. Contract staff may float to other units as needed. Daily census is approximately 24 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Patient diagnoses focus on general medicine with an emphasis on neuro. A teamwork approach is essential and behavioral expectations must be met in all interactions. All call-off policies are strictly enforced. Must be willing to complete EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Candidates must float within or near the facility as required. All RTO must be pre-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. Pre-start modules are non-billable and should be completed online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
