Job description

Mid-Level Disability Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Disability Management Specialist based out of North Charleston, SC.

This position will support the 787 program in North Charleston, as well as work with various collaborators and partner organizations such as Boeing Health Services, Workers Compensation Administrator, Third Part Administrators, Accommodation Services, and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with management and employees to initiate and facilitate interactive discussions for medical restrictions and qualifications

  • Identifies crucial job functions and reasonable accommodations, reassignment processes and potential outcomes

  • Works with third party administrators and Workers' Compensation Administrators to assist with detailed claims management

  • Performs analysis to ensure consistent placement decisions

  • Facilitates employee's return to work

  • Documents, maintains and extracts employee case information and ensures data integrity and confidentiality

  • Provides early intervention to injured or ill employees to prevent time loss from work

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in any of the following: injury claims, workers' compensation, vocational rehabilitation, disability management, reasonable accommodation, work-related injuries, or return-to-work programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with medical confidentiality

  • Experience with the administration, including case management, of reasonable accommodation process and disability related (e.g. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)) laws, policies and regulatory requirement

  • Experience with government laws and regulation
