Job description

Who are we?

At Finastra, we're a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what's next for the industry. Our technology powers missioncritical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world's top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries.

Finastra is seeking a Corporate Strategy Director to support the delivery of major corporatelevel strategic initiatives during a critical phase of execution.

This is a senior individual contributor role, working closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Board. The role sits within a lean corporate strategy team and reports to the SVP of Strategy and Chief of Staff.

Role Overview

The Corporate Strategy Director will play a key role in supporting the planning, analysis, and execution of enterprisewide strategic initiatives. These initiatives typically span multiple business units and functions and require strong ownership, pace, and coordination to deliver clearly defined outcomes.

This is a handson, executionfocused strategy role. It is not a peoplemanagement position and does not involve line management. Success requires the ability to work independently, structure ambiguous problems, and deliver highquality outputs that senior leaders rely on in a fastpaced environment.

The role will also provide targeted support to corporate development activity, including strategic fit assessments and earlystage due diligence, and contribute to ESGrelated initiatives from a strategy and delivery perspective. Deep ESG subjectmatter expertise is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Finastra's corporatelevel strategy in close collaboration with the CEO and Strategy leadership

  • Provide rigorous analytical and research support across strategic initiatives, including industry and market trends, competitive analysis, and financial modelling

  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses to support strategic decisionmaking

  • Work directly with business units and functional teams to define scope, structure workstreams, and drive delivery of crossfunctional initiatives

  • Provide programme support across multiple concurrent initiatives, including timeline management, identification of risks and dependencies, and progress tracking

  • Communicate clear, concise updates and insights to senior stakeholders, including ELT members

  • Support corporate development activity, including strategic fit assessments and earlystage due diligence

  • Contribute to ESG initiatives as part of the broader corporate strategy, working alongside subjectmatter experts as required

  • Build a strong understanding of Finastra's products, customers, and strategic priorities

  • Provide bespoke analytical and delivery support for CEOlevel initiatives, Board materials, and external stakeholder discussions

Skills and Experience

  • Experience gained within a toptier strategy consulting firm, complemented by broader commercial or industry experience

  • Experience in software and/or financial services environments

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and work with complex information

  • Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor, delivering highquality outputs at pace

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with credibility at senior and ELT level

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take full ownership of deliverables

  • Pragmatic, deliveryfocused, and resilient in a fastpaced environment

  • Exposure to ESG topics is helpful, but this is not an ESG specialist or sustainability leadership role.
