Sleep Therapy Coach is responsible for monitoring patient adherence to PAP therapy, supporting patients through education and outreach, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements. This role serves as a critical link between patients, providers, and DME teams, helping patients successfully navigate therapy while meeting key compliance milestones within required timeframes.

•       Conduct proactive outbound outreach to patients to improve adherence, address concerns, and provide ongoing support.

•       Educate patients on proper device use, mask fit, and the importance of therapy compliance for long-term health outcomes.

•       Troubleshoot common barriers to adherence, including discomfort, dryness, or pressure intolerance.

•       Coordinate follow-up appointments and required compliance visits within payer-defined timelines.

•       Communicate with providers and clinical teams regarding patient progress and escalate concerns when appropriate.

•       Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support compliance tracking and billing requirements.

•       Support resupply programs and identify opportunities for equipment adjustments or mask replacements.

•       Assist with audit readiness by ensuring documentation meets Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer standards.

Skills and Abilities

•       Strong patient communication and coaching skills, particularly in a phone-based environment

•       High attention to detail in documentation and compliance tracking

•       Ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritize effectively

•       Problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving patient adherence outcomes

•       Collaborative approach when working with clinical and operational teams

Qualifications

•       High School Diploma or GED required

•       1–3 years of experience in healthcare, DME, or sleep medicine preferred

•       Experience with PAP devices or compliance platforms is a plus

•       Basic understanding of insurance and compliance requirements

Preferred Background
