Job description

Position Summary

Odyssey is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, the ideal candidate will analyze proposal requirements, aid in developing a pricing strategy, generate pricing volumes, and support negotiations. The Pricing Analyst will serve as the Pricing lead for assigned Government proposals, emphasizing A&AS/SETA efforts. The Pricing Analyst will be a crucial contributor in RFP analysis, Cost Volume formulation, proposal preparation, and cost/price analysis through close coordination with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Contracts departments. The Pricing Analyst will compile all pricing templates to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and ensure provided pricing adheres to FAR and DFARS requirements. The position will be based in our Lincoln, MA office, with the ability to work remotely up to two days per week. 

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Support all phases of the proposal process, including pre-RFP strategic reviews, pricing and cost-related proposal development, Q&As, and pricing reviews.
  • Conduct competitive research and identify Price-to-Win strategies to increase cost competitiveness.
  • Review RFP requirements, plan and manage pricing activities throughout the RFP process, focusing on achievability and accountability of deadlines.
  • Collect and aggregate large amounts of data from various sources to be used in building pricing models, requiring a high degree of analytical ability.
  • Manage subcontractor data call/proposal process to ensure subcontractor proposals are aligned with Price-to-Win objectives and ensure subcontractor adherence to solicitation requirements.
  • Develop/produce proposal documents in accordance with solicitation requirements and develop/produce templates to be used by subcontractors for proposal submission.
  • Provide Senior Leadership with cost proposal status updates in formal reviews, focusing on major risks and presenting strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Utilize prior pricing experience to foster pricing policy & procedure adherence.
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other business-related disciplines

Years of Experience: Three to five years of relevant pricing experience in a DoD setting 

Technical Skills

  • Must have strong financial and accounting/government pricing background
  • Must have a proficient understanding of government accounting/pricing regulations and principles with the capacity to research and understand new concepts, regulations, and principals
  • Must have advanced MS Excel Skills with the ability to accurately and efficiently manipulate and aggregate large amounts of data
  • Must have exceptional writing proficiency, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and grammatically accurate content
  • Experience with Deltek ProPricer software preferred

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to think critically and apply pricing knowledge to unique challenges
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently

Location: Preferred location is Lincoln, MA with the potential to work from our corporate office in Wakefield, MA

Travel: Up to 10%
