We build strategic insight through deep human understanding and validating future possibilities with real people in real contexts. We believe that the future of experience strategy relies on continuous learning and cross-functional expertise, enabling us to guide clients through unprecedented challenges across every phase of the product lifecycle.

About the Role

As an Experience Strategy Director, you will operate end-to-end on complex client engagements, driving the creation, delivery, and evolution of AnswerLab’s experience strategy offering. You will synthesize research, map journeys, and ideate innovative solutions, producing high-quality deliverables that directly influence the CXO’s client-facing strategy.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in a fast-growing, scale-up environment, where processes are still evolving, and your contributions will support shaping the organization’s approach to experience strategy. You will thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting, taking ownership of projects from end to end, influencing how work is done, and helping to establish the methods, tools, and frameworks that define AnswerLab’s offering. You may also mentor 1–2 strategists or associates as you build the foundation of a team and practice that will grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

Shape Client Experiences

  • Become an expert in each client’s brand, business, customers, market, and competitive landscape
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, journey mapping, and ecosystem insights into actionable strategies
  • Ideate innovative solutions that balance creativity, feasibility, scalability, and measurable business impact
  • Translate insights into client-ready deliverables, including maps, blueprints, frameworks, and strategic recommendations

Drive Strategy Deliverables & Influence

  • Own the development of materials and frameworks
  • Present solutions  to clients and executive stakeholders
  • Ensure all deliverables are actionable, high-quality, and reflect AnswerLab’s methodology
  • Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously refine offerings and client strategies

Collaborate Across Disciplines

  • Partner with researchers, designers, product, CX, and business leads to deliver integrated and innovative solutions
  • Run workshops, co-creation sessions, and internal strategy discussions to ensure alignment and impact
  • Mentor strategists or associates, supporting professional development and project execution

Shape & Scale the Offering

  • Codify methods, tools, and frameworks to standardize and scale AnswerLab’s experience strategy service
  • Contribute to practice development and thought leadership within the firm

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in experience or product strategy
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong storytelling, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and influence outcomes
  • Familiarity with strategy and design tools: journey mapping, service blueprints, research synthesis, Figma, Miro, and other collaboration platforms
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders
  • Curiosity and motivation to explore emerging trends, technologies, methods, and tools

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience in concepting solutions or prototypes
  • Experience with innovation labs, consumer testing, or complex multi-stakeholder projects

Work Model & Travel

  • Fully remote, with up to 25% travel for client workshops, co-creation sessions, and team collaboration
  • Must be comfortable leading projects independently and collaborating virtually across geographies

Why AnswerLab?

This is a high-growth, high-impact opportunity for a strategist who wants to advance quickly, own and shape a client-facing experience strategy offering, and influence how clients design transformative experiences. You’ll work closely with the CXO and senior leadership while building your career trajectory toward Director-level leadership.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Willingness to collaborate across multiple time zones, which may occasionally require schedule flexibility
