Who We Are

White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning premium hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants in some of the country's most dynamic cities. We know that the hospitality business, like life, is about how you make people feel. That's where you come in. You'll help bring the virtue of hospitality to life while we create an environment that allows you to be your best self and grow.

Canopy by Hilton San Antonio River Walk is a lifestyle hotel rooted in the energy and culture of one of Texas's most celebrated cities. Located steps from the iconic San Antonio River Walk, the Canopy San Antonio is a gathering place for locals and travelers alike — and a property where every department, including Finance, plays a visible and strategic role in the hotel's success.

We are hiring a Director of Finance to lead the accounting and financial operations of this premium lifestyle hotel in San Antonio, Texas. This is an ideal next step for a senior hotel accountant, accounting manager, or assistant director of finance who is ready to step into their first Director of Finance role — and who brings the strategic mindset, collaborative approach, and financial acumen to serve as a true business partner to the hotel's leadership team. If you're looking for hotel finance jobs in San Antonio, TX, or a director-level accounting role in the hospitality industry, this is a rare opportunity to lead at a high-profile Hilton lifestyle property backed by one of the country's most respected hotel management companies.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the hotel accounting office at Canopy by Hilton San Antonio — including Accounts Payable, cash management, and financial reporting functions
  • Track, evaluate, and interpret hotel financial performance data — making strategic recommendations to maximize profitability and ensure full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)
  • Serve as a strategic financial business partner to the hotel's senior leadership team — providing analysis, insight, and practical cost-versus-benefit guidance that directly influences hotel performance and decision-making
  • Support a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets, improve operational efficiency, and manage business risk across all departments
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, financial audits, tax compliance, and bookkeeping functions in accordance with White Lodging standards and Hilton brand requirements
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by hotel leadership

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
  • Prior experience as a hotel accountant, accounting manager, assistant director of finance, or senior accounting professional — hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
  • A strategic, analytically-minded approach to hotel finance — you think beyond the numbers to understand how accounting intersects with operations, revenue management, and long-term hotel performance
  • A collaborative, consultative leadership style — you are as comfortable presenting financial insights to a General Manager as you are working alongside department heads to drive cost efficiency
  • A thorough understanding of hotel accounting processes, GAAP compliance, USALI reporting standards, and how hotel operations intersect with financial performance
  • An unwavering commitment to accuracy, compliance, and financial controls in a premium hotel environment
  • Proficiency in hotel accounting software and financial reporting systems — experience with platforms common to Hilton-managed or white-lodging-operated properties a plus

What You Can Look Forward To

  • Benefits — starting day 1
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • DailyPay — get paid when you need it
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Hostcare Resources healthcare concierge
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) with rollover
  • Complimentary wellness tools
  • Unlimited employee referral bonuses
  • Leadership development & tuition reimbursement
  • Discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel
  • Growth opportunities across multiple hotel properties in your market
