Position Summary

Dollamur is seeking a dynamic engineering leader to join our team in either an Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering capacity, depending on the candidate's qualifications, leadership experience, and demonstrated impact within a manufacturing environment.

This role provides a unique opportunity for accomplished engineering professionals to lead continuous improvement initiatives, drive manufacturing excellence, optimize processes, and enhance product quality across the organization. Candidates selected at the Manager level will have a clear pathway for growth into the Director role through expanded leadership responsibilities, strategic project ownership, and organizational development opportunities. Candidates hired at the Director level will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, helping shape operational strategy and long-term organizational success. The position supervises two team members.

Regardless of level, the successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing manufacturing performance, developing technical talent, supporting operational scalability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applicable to both Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering levels

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, SPC, Theory of Constraints (TOC), and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Drive manufacturing process optimization, process standardization, workflow improvements, and engineering support for production operations.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Leadership teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Analyze operational, quality, and production metrics to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support new product development, manufacturing implementation, and process scalability initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective action activities, and quality improvement efforts to improve product consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee engineering support for manufacturing technologies, automation initiatives, equipment implementation, and process modernization activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures, engineering documentation, and manufacturing standards.
  • Manage engineering projects, priorities, and resources while ensuring objectives are completed on time and within budget.
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives and identify opportunities to improve ergonomic, operational, and process safety.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams regarding manufacturing capabilities, equipment, product requirements, and process improvements.
  • Support ERP, MES, manufacturing analytics, and process documentation systems to improve operational visibility and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Engineering ManagerQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, industrial, quality, or process engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering leadership, project leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, SPC, TOC, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process optimization, quality systems, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing analytics, BOM management, routing structures, and production costing.
  • Experience using CAD software and engineering documentation systems preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting MES implementations or manufacturing technology initiatives is a plus.

Director of EngineeringQualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of manufacturing engineering, operational engineering, or industrial engineering experience required.

  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and manufacturing systems optimization.
  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering and quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required.
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, or leading Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar production management platforms preferred.
