About the job you're considering

We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer responsible for driving end-to-end performance engineering across enterprise applications. This role focuses on defining performance strategy, executing scalable performance tests, and delivering actionable insights to improve system reliability, scalability, and user experience. The candidate will bring deep expertise in LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis) and SiteScope, while leading cross-functional collaboration and ensuring performance readiness across environments.

Your role
  • Define and implement end-to-end performance testing strategy aligned with business requirements, translating non-functional requirements (NFRs) into test scenarios and workload models.
  • Design and execute performance test plans across SIT, UAT, and production-like environments, ensuring system scalability, stability, and readiness.
  • Develop and maintain performance scripts using LoadRunner (VuGen) and execute large-scale tests via Controller, including Web, Web Services, and TruClient protocols.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance using SiteScope and other tools, identifying bottlenecks and driving resolution with Dev, DBA, and Infra teams.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of test results using LoadRunner Analysis, providing root cause analysis (RCA) and recommending performance tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Lead performance engineering initiatives including capacity planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement of system performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to present performance insights, provide executive-level reporting, and drive performance best practices across teams.
Your skills and experience
  • Strong expertise in performance engineering and testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis) and SiteScope.
  • Proven experience in designing workload models, performance strategies, and capacity planning.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, application performance, and scalability concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with mentoring and guiding performance testing teams.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $53,580 - $122,400.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
