As part of Qorvo's High Performance Analog Products team within Infrastructure and Defense Products, this role offers the opportunity to support cutting-edge technologies that help solve complex engineering challenges around the world. We are seeking an RF Engineering Technician to join the Test Engineering Group, where you will play a hands-on role in executing Design Validation Testing in a fast-paced RF lab environment.

This is an overnight compressed shift position with 12-hour shifts. The compressed work week will be an alternating schedule of 3 workdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and 4 days off for the first week and 4 workdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and 3 days off for the second week. 

Initial training will take place on day shift before transitioning to the overnight schedule.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

  • Conduct DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave frequencies in an RF lab environment
  • Contribute to Design Validation Testing process
  • Setup and calibrate [S] parameters and power test stations following Qorvo standards
  • Perform limited test setup troubleshooting, assemble fixtures wire harnesses
  • Interact with test development engineers to support test setup improvement when applicable
  • Report test progress to manager and customers
  • Support training sessions and provide guidance to less experienced team members

Technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent amount of experience
  • 2+ years of experience in RF component testing
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a consistently evolving environment
  • Proficient with test equipment including PXI systems, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
  • Knowledgeable in RF testing includes S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, high power RF, TOI, harmonics, ACP, Video Bandwidth (VBW), digital pre-distortion (DPD), modulation testing (AM/AM, AM/PM, PAM, etc), and different modulation schemes (LTE/TDD, WCDMA, QAM, etc)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Operate as a team player with a positive attitude
