Job description

PACS is seeking a Paralegal with two (2) to five (5) years of either in-house or law firm experience. You will support the Employment Practices Legal team by working with and supporting attorneys by with case management, assisting with reporting, and facilitating record collection efforts. This position will be in-office in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Essential Duties
  • Coordinate responses to demand letters, subpoenas and discovery requests, including responsibility for communicating with personnel and collecting and producing responsive documentation.

  • Generate regularly scheduled client reports, status updates, and ad hoc reporting as required by project parameters or upon request.

  • Assist in drafting responses to administrative case claims and charges (EEOC, DOL, DIR, CCRD)

  • Own and oversee case management activity including scheduling, maintaining status updates, document collection and organization, prompt communication with external counsel, reviewing billing and invoices, and partnering on issues and deadlines to case manager as appropriate

  • Attend meetings with external counsel and conferences as a company representative on wage and hour matters Ensure compliance with legal standards with authorization assignment and requesting of records

  • Other paralegal and administrative projects as outlined by your supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in either litigation defense or in-house at-large corporation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Paralegal certificate highly desirable

  • Knowledge of key U.S. employment laws such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA and wage and hour laws a plus
