Overview:

As a Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator (FIC), you'll play a crucial role in overseeing Self-Direction Plans and Budgets. You'll process paperwork, bill for services, and work closely with participants, families, and vendors to ensure services and reimbursements are provided promptly and accurately.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate and Implement: Work closely with Circles of Support and the CMA's Self-Direction (SD) Team to successfully implement and manage self-directed plans and budgets for our dynamic and growing program.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate copies of plans, budgets, and all components of individual service records and documents to support billing.
  • Communicate Staffing Concerns: Relay any invoice concerns, including missing payments, to Senior FIC and Program Director. Relay any staffing concerns reported by families to the SHSS Coordinator and Program Director.
  • Organize Documentation: Maintain organized documentation of reimbursement approvals in line with current CMA policies.
  • Report Incidents: Appropriately report incidents to the Justice Center and Fiscal Intermediary (FI).
  • Ensure Understanding: Ensure that individuals and Circle of Support members have a clear understanding of what constitutes a reportable incident.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Self-Direction experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years in human health service field preferred.
  • Three-year experience as Self-Directed Broker or related OPWDD position.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Working Knowledge of OPWDD services and supports.

Work Location: Westbury, NY (Nassau County)

Work Hours/Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM with flexible scheduling options

Pay: $55,000/year

Paid Time Off:
