Job description

I. Resume du poste
Ce poste consiste a assurer l'integration, la formation, l'encadrement, le mentorat et la gestion des performances de tous les chauffeurs et aides-chauffeurs. Il implique egalement d'etablir et d'entretenir des relations positives avec l'ensemble du personnel en contact direct avec la clientele. Le titulaire du poste passe la majeure partie de son temps sur le terrain avec le personnel en contact direct avec la clientele.
II. Fonctions et responsabilites essentielles
Pour reussir a accomplir ce travail, le candidat doit etre en mesure d'executer chaque tache essentielle de maniere satisfaisante. D'autres taches mineures peuvent lui etre assignees :

  • S'assurer que les nouveaux employes de premiere ligne disposent des outils, des instructions et du retour d'information necessaires a la reussite de leurs taches quotidiennes.

  • Rencontrer quotidiennement les nouveaux employes de premiere ligne afin d'assurer une communication constante et un soutien a leur integration.

  • Assurer des contacts reguliers et opportuns avec les employes de premiere ligne.

  • Revoir regulierement les meilleures pratiques afin d'ameliorer la performance quotidienne.

  • Se concentrer sur la comprehension et la progression des objectifs de carriere des employes de premiere ligne.

  • Identifier et traiter les opportunites d'amelioration et collaborer avec les employes de premiere ligne pour assurer leur succes continu.

  • S'exercer activement aux entretiens de coaching et solliciter des retours d'information.

  • Donner l'exemple afin de garantir que les pratiques de securite soient primordiales pour chaque employe et

  • Enseigner et developper la comprehension des valeurs de WM.

  • Mener des enquetes sur les causes profondes de toutes les blessures et incidents, en assurant une discipline et une formation de recyclage coherentes.

  • Documenter et tenir a jour les dossiers requis par les organismes de reglementation tels que le ministere des Transports.

  • Examiner et verifier quotidiennement la documentation relative aux operations de tournee (par exemple, les rapports d'inspection avant depart, les temps de presence des conducteurs, les tickets ouverts), en effectuant un suivi au besoin.

  • Visiter les clients et leurs sites afin d'evaluer et de resoudre les problemes de securite, en recherchant des solutions de rechange au besoin.

III. Responsabilites de supervision 

La gestion des employes constitue le plus haut niveau de competences de supervision requis dans le cadre de ce poste :

  • Supervision directe de 15-20 employes a temps plein, y compris : chauffeurs, aides-chauffeurs

  • Diplome d'etudes collegiales (accredite) ou, a defaut,

  • Diplome d'etudes secondaires (accredite) et deux (2) ans d'experience professionnelle pertinente.

  • Etre age d'au moins 18 ans.

  • Etre legalement autorise a travailler au Canada

  • Permis de conduire valide (classe 5)
