Job description

Title: Director of Operations
Reports To: Franchise Owners, Regional Executive Director of Operations
Pay rate: $70,000 yearly
Location: Signal of Olive Branch
[This role may involve supporting operations across two markets (Memphis, TN), requiring flexibility and the ability to manage responsibilities in multiple areas.]
Signal of Olive Branch is looking for a hands-on director of operations that oversees and manages the daily operations while optimizing productivity on all procedures. The director will be responsible for coordinating strategic planning and the process improvement of day-to-day operations in the security field. The director will also work hand in hand with the coordinators and officers to enhance performance and achieve the company's goals while meeting weekly KPI'S. They are tasked with delivering peace of mind to our clients through the training and development of operations coordinators.
Requirements:
  • Ensure that all shifts are filled at least one month in advance reviewing and approving time off requests from Branch Supervisors and below. MUST ALSO HAVE THE ABILITY TO COVER POSTS AS NEEDED IN ADDITION TO GENERAL COORDINATOR DUTIES.
  • Flexible availability is required, including weekends, overnights, and some long workdays (occasionally 12-hour shifts and generally 10-hour days, including occasional split shifts with time off between required tasks).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Management or leadership experience
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to read, speak and write in English

Position Summary
The Director of Operation is a self-motivated and results-driven Director who will implement and manage the organization's business activity. Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and managing the weekly and month to date activities. The Director will assist the Coordinator(s) by directly managing efficiency and general operations ensuring the business runs smoothly and effectively. Listed below, but not limited to, are some areas of individual responsibilities. This is not a comprehensive list and responsibilities are contingent upon additional needs and requirements of the business and may be subject to change.
Soft Skills:
  • Visioning: Understanding the big picture and requirements necessary to deliver services that reflect company values, goals, and purpose. Communicates the brand vision and puts structures in place that support company goals and objectives while aligning client needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Manage and oversee effective engagement, planning and execution of patrol and dedicated operations. Projecting and effectively maintain organizational chart for current and future of team growth. Develops priorities and strategy for future operational growth.
  • Financial Acumen: Understands company measurements while developing, managing, and executing the necessary behaviors to drive results. Can effectively manage the delivery of the Signal business model through (KPI) key performance indicators while controlling company resources.
  • Team Development: Integrate Core Values through the franchise organization. Develop organized recruiting and onboarding structure. Oversees company Training and Development programs.
  • Project Management: Oversees and manages company fleet division including budgeting, routing, maintenance, and acquisitions. Has a full understanding of and maintains compliance and regulatory items. Manages Vendor relationships while continually growing and cultivating new opportunities beneficial for the Franchise. Conducts Client reviews and visits, developing a full understanding of their business needs to develop service and execution plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational KPIs responsibility and accountability: Labor Efficiencies (including overtime), Patrol Completions, Dedicated Shift Completions. Employee Retention, Customer retention, Daily sales outstanding, and A.R Over 90 days, Gross Profit Net Revenue Growth, Revenue per Owned pop, and Same customer sales.
  • Directly responsible for the training, development and performance management of Coordinator and Branch managers, indirectly of Patrol, Dedicated, and Advanced Officers through the Signal training/onboarding process.
  • Conducts daily review of urgent activities and client reports and addresses issues in the field or internally. Communicates information to Executive Director or Franchise Owner.
  • Monitors company policies and procedures through spot checks and consistent evaluations. Issues disciplinary action in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Responsible for fostering a positive working environment through feedback, recognition programs, and performance reviews.
  • Conducts Quarterly Career Progression Meeting with all employees to review performance and career advancement interest and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all Signal assets and equipment to ensure proper operating condition and brand standards.
  • Responsible for validating any Signal equipment needs and managing the inventory as resources are needed. This could include but is not limited to vehicles, Segway(s), laptops, radios, and any other equipment used by the Franchise.
  • Develop relationships with vendors and networking with new potential client partnerships.
  • Coordinates with teams upstream and downstream to provide service-related input to assist in developing new processes and operational excellence.
  • Host Monthly Director Meeting with Coordinators to review monthly scorecard, KPI results and goals, operational priorities, customer review, and internal needs.
  • Works to continuously improve the quality of service, operational efficiency, and processes.
  • Performing final site assessments before services start to ensure all necessary information has been collected for a successful start.

Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years or more in Management or a leadership capacity.
  • Pass background check and drug test
  • Must have valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Complete training modules within first month
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
