A director of instructional technology is responsible for guiding, training, and supporting faculty who design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional technology strategies. As the director of instructional technology, you are also responsible for collaborating with other departments to enhance the way technology assists teachers and students at the school. You may plan, design, develop, and teach workshops and tutorials for faculty. Additional duties include overseeing and managing the online campus, including course schedules, enrollment, communications, and resources available to teachers and students. You also work with the IT department to troubleshoot issues and ensure software, hardware, and applications are up-to-date.
