Job description

Christ-centered educational leader to serve as our Director of Teaching & Learning.

This unique leadership position combines instructional coaching with assistant principal responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about developing teachers while supporting the daily operations of a growing Christian school.

The ideal candidate will coach and mentor teachers, conduct classroom observations, provide instructional feedback, lead professional development, monitor student achievement, and partner with the Head of School to cultivate a culture of academic excellence rooted in biblical values.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana teaching license (administrative license not required)
  • Experienced classroom teacher (5+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of structured literacy, curriculum, instruction, and data-driven decision-making
  • Familiar with MTSS
  • Experience/ Comfortable mentoring or coaching adults/ teachers is preferred
  • Organized
  • Positive leader
  • Strong Christian testimony
Primary Responsibilities (70% Instructional / 30% Leadership)Instructional Leadership
  • Coach teachers weekly
  • Conduct classroom observations
  • Provide immediate feedback
  • Model effective lessons
  • Lead PLC meetings
  • Analyze ILEARN, MAP, and classroom data
  • Help teachers with lesson planning
  • Support implementation of:

  • Indiana Academic Standards 2023
  • Coordinate intervention plans for struggling students
  • Lead professional development
School Leadership
  • Assist as administrator when the Head of School is unavailable
  • Assist with student discipline
  • Meet with parents when needed
  • Help oversee arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess
  • Support teacher evaluations
  • Coordinate testing
  • Assist with accreditation and compliance
