Maintenance Director

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Director supervises the maintenance department and is responsible for the efficient function of physical plant and environmental systems as well as the appearance and upkeep of the community grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.

  • Daily follow up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs.

  • Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.

  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and ensure all preventive maintenance requirements are met in a timely manner; and within compliance of state/federal and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.

  • Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.

  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.

  • Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design

    engineers.

  • Direct the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.

  • Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind and professional workplace behavior and

    customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.

  • Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications

  • Three years of experience in building maintenance; one year of supervisory experience

    preferred.
