Position Summary

The Director of Partner Success (Embedded Acquiring) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and operational optimization for Thread Bank's high-value embedded acquiring partners. This role acts as the primary executive contact and strategic advisor to partner 

organizations, translating their business objectives into actionable growth initiatives through sophisticated portfolio expansion, technical optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The Director of Partner Success ensures partners maximize value from Thread Bank's embedded finance stack and achieve measurable gains in processing volume, merchant adoption, and revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •   Develop and execute joint business plans with partners focused on processing volume growth, merchant adoption, and new product penetration.
  •   Own and drive key performance indicators including Gross Payment Volume (GPV), Net Take Rate, and Partner Retention metrics.
  •   Conduct quarterly business reviews with partner executive teams, presenting data-driven insights and growth recommendations.
  •   Optimize technical payment levers including authorization rates, interchange management, and risk/fraud settings to enhance partner performance.
  •   Translate partner technical requirements and feedback into product enhancement requests and engineering priorities.
  •   Provide strategic consulting on Thread Bank's APIs, integration capabilities, and embedded finance stack features.
  •   Lead cross-functional collaboration between partners and Thread Bank's Sales, Implementation, and Risk teams to resolve strategic challenges.
  •   Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to proactively recommend partner strategy adjustments.
  •   Synthesize complex payment and transaction data into actionable growth narratives and strategic recommendations.
  •   Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned according to the needs of the Bank.

Required Qualifications

  •   8+ years of experience in Payments, Fintech, or Merchant Acquiring.
  •   Deep understanding of the embedded and software-led payments ecosystem.
  •   Technical fluency with APIs, payment gateways, and settlement logic.
  •   Demonstrated ability to grow partner accounts through consultative strategy and relationship management.
  •   Proven data analysis skills with ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights.
  •   Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  •   12+ years of experience in Payments or Fintech.
  •   Experience managing strategic partnerships or enterprise accounts.
  •   Background in embedded finance or software-led acquiring.
  •   Experience with financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
  •   Advanced proficiency with payment systems, settlement platforms, or financial data analysis tools.

  •   Relationship Management - Excellence in building and maintaining strategic executive partnerships.
