Responsibilities

The Marketing Science Analyst plays a key role in driving insights, optimization, experimental design, and measurement of marketing tactics, with a focus on direct marketing channels including email, text, and direct mail. This role focuses on leveraging data and advanced analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and provide actionable recommendations that enhance marketing performance. A strong emphasis is placed on identifying and applying AI/ML models, utilizing Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and working with experimentation platforms to continuously improve tactic results.

This position provides an exciting chance to combine analytical expertise, strategic marketing, and advanced technologies to deliver tangible results and shape the future of marketing in a rapidly changing environment.

As a Marketing Science Analyst, you will:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define clear tactic goals and measurement objectives
  • Design and implement experiments and measurement frameworks
  • Extract and prepare data through querying and data manipulation
  • Conduct rigorous statistical analyses to summarize and interpret results
  • Develop compelling reports and visualizations that effectively communicate insights
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing campaigns and maximize ROI
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation

Qualifications

Highly Desired:

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Marketing data
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS, or ability to readily acquire proficiency based on experience with comparable programming/querying languages
  • Experience working across multiple computing platforms and operating systems, with an emphasis on AWS, but including other platforms as well (such as Hadoop or DB2)
  • Experience producing reports and dashboards using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of experimental design and evaluation methods for marketing performance
  • Experience optimizing direct marketing KPIs across email, text, and direct mail channels with a focus on ROI
  • Solid foundation in descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., averages, chi-square tests, logistic regression)
  • Familiarity with marketing models, advanced statistical techniques, and direct marketing principles
  • Skilled in data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
  • Effective collaborator with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights to diverse audiences across organizational levels

    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
