The Product Consultant: Receivables serves as the product solutions architect for services used by Commercial clients to collect payments. As a receivables subject matter expert, this role is primarily responsible for advancing and prioritizing new sales opportunities through direct client engagement. The Product Consultant represents the bank’s Receivables solution set while actively listening for opportunities to support clients with ONB’s full suite of Treasury Management (TM) products and services.

This position is responsible for setting pricing strategy on a peropportunity basis for Receivables solutions and works in close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Implementation, and Service partners to drive profitable growth for the bank.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $79,400 - $156,000 per year plus bonus. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Sales Leadership

  • Supports the sales team by providing technical expertise during the sales consultation process, including leading and participating in client calls, demonstrations (demos), and meetings as needed.
  • Maintains deep expertise in Receivables capabilities and related functionality.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for complex Receivables solutions and implementations.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of broader Treasury Management products and engages additional subject matter experts as appropriate.
  • Develops and delivers product demonstrations and technical overviews tailored to client use cases and business needs.
  • Partners with implementation and support teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to delivery.
  • Maintains awareness of competitive offerings and market trends to support effective sales positioning. 

Product Delivery

  • Analyzes the Treasury Management client portfolio to identify opportunities to increase Receivables adoption and utilization.
  • Partners with Treasury Management Sales to propose and execute strategies that drive Receivables growth.
  • Leverages internally developed and/or vendor tools to identify opportunities to expand Receivables success and usage.
  • Supports crosssell and up-sell efforts by identifying complementary services that enhance client treasury management experience and value.
  • Contributes client insights and utilization trends to product roadmap discussions by partnering with Product Management.
  • Monitors client feedback and product performance, identifying patterns across clients and implementations to inform continuous improvement and rapid issue resolution.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, speed to action, and pragmatic problemsolving in support of client implementations and ongoing service needs.
  • Maintains strong communication channels with Product Management, IT Support, Operations to support escalation and feedback loops.

  • Promotes adoption of highmargin receivables services that contribute to overall Treasury Management profitability.

Qualifications and Education Requirements –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Computer Science or related field and/or HS diploma/GED with equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Operations, Customer Support or Technology strongly preferred
  • Experience in financial services, ideally in Commercial products and services
  • Ability to successfully partner with cross-functional teams made up of business line stakeholders, user experience, sales, technology, operations, customer service, risk management, legal/compliance, and data teams
  • Great attention to detail, thoroughness, and soundness in written documentation as well as in the analytical review of data
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with business line partners, stakeholders, technology leadership, and external partners
  • Anticipates, identifies, and articulates potential issues and opportunities and effectively responds

Product Consultant roles may vary – this position may be filled at a different level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.  Factors may include but are not limited to:  previous Receivables experience, depth and breadth of previous or current institution size – the same role for many years or a variety of roles in the same space over a number of years, skills, knowledge, previous performance and success factors, proven ability to achieve targets year over year, education/certification, length of time in Treasury Management industry and Receivables similar growth to existing portfolios.

Qualifications and Education Requirements – Product Consultant

  • Bachelor of Science preferred with preference given to technology, business and finance concentrations and/or or HS diploma/GED with equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills required
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Treasury Management and/or Receivables strongly preferred
  • Experience in customer support strongly preferred

Qualifications and Education Requirements – Senior Product Consultant

  • Product Consultant requirements plus:
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Treasury Management and/or Receivables required
  • Demonstrated record of meeting targets and growing Receivables portfolios
  • Progressive experience - larger scale, scope, clients, platforms - required
  • Subject matter expert in Receivables with a clear understanding of integration and downstream impacts as well as levering available (and forward thinking) resources to maximize benefits
