What You'll Do
The Director of Laboratory Services is responsible for planning, organizing, problem resolution, quality improvement, coordination of section/site functions and directing the overall operation of the Laboratory Department. The Director of Laboratory Services makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. This position occasionally has direct patient contact and access to confidential employee, patient and financial information. Additional responsibilities include recognizing problems that require referral to the Laboratory Medical Director, formulating budgetary/financial aspects of the department, developing business strategies while maintaining compliance with state, federal, local and regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
