Procore's Tax Department is a team of highly motivated and high-performing individuals that value collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Our department is a focal point that empowers cross-functional business partners to achieve exceptional business outcomes.
We're looking for an International Tax Manager to be our in-house international tax lead to support, develop, plan, and scale the Procore tax needs in the international tax arena. A successful candidate should be comfortable with an agile, dynamic, ambiguous environment, able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with autonomy, and demonstrate high-quality judgment. If you are a quick learner who can think strategically while staying organized, paying attention to details, and diving deep when needed, then this opportunity is for you.
This position will report to our Head of Tax & Treasury and can work remotely from a U.S. location or from one of several physical offices within the U.S.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of US international tax compliance (i.e. 5471s, 8992s, 926s, etc.)
  • Manage and review Procore's global transfer pricing documentation
  • Manage and review FDII, BEAT, and GILTI inclusions, and similar calculations for tax compliance, ASC 740, and strategic planning purposes.
  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing compliance for BEPS Pillar Two and CbCR
  • Manage external tax service providers efficiently to meet compliance obligations, optimizing balance between internal and external resourcing.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of tax planning strategies that align with business objectives through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • As needed, support global compliance and reporting teams by overseeing the preparation, review, and timely filing of local direct/indirect compliance
  • Keep current on developments in global tax that may affect our business, including monitoring and analyzing tax legislation.
  • Engage and assist in special projects, including establishment of new legal entities, and other corporate initiatives, as needed.
  • Monitor and manage permanent establishment risk.
  • Engage and assist with M&A, including acquisition structuring and integration.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Accounting, and Legal to manage intercompany funding requirements, including leverage planning, cash contributions, and repatriation strategies.

What we're looking for:
  • International US Corporate Tax experience (4+ years)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related Business field.
  • CPA, Masters, and/or JD in Tax or Accounting a plus
  • Big 4 and/or public company experience within the technology sector a plus
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable business insights for non-tax stakeholders.
  • Intellectually curious with a willingness to adopt AI platforms to accelerate workflows, synthesize technical tax research, and improve team productivity.
  • Strong relationship skills with the ability to foster a sense of community with internal and external stakeholders
