Job description

Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Lead
Location: Downtown Dallas (Hybrid Local Only)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Base + Bonus + Full Benefits

Overview
This role will focus heavily on strategic leadership, architecture guidance, governance, and cross-functional coordination across Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) programs. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and a large managed service provider (MSP) organization supporting enterprise security operations.
This position requires a strong understanding of enterprise-scale identity programs, operational governance, compliance frameworks, and the complexities of managing large MSP-supported delivery organizations. Experience within financial services or other regulated industries is strongly preferred due to SOX, audit, and regulatory requirements.
The environment currently leverages Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Duo for privileged access management and MFA, and enterprise HR and ERP platforms integrated into identity lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the enterprise roadmap, strategy, and governance model for Identity Governance & Administration services.
  • Provide strategic direction for IAM, IGA, and PAM solutions, including lifecycle management, governance controls, access certifications, and privileged access strategies.
  • Develop enterprise architecture standards, identity governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, security trends, and modernization opportunities to strengthen enterprise identity capabilities.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to align identity strategies with operational, security, and compliance objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business leadership, technology teams, and a large offshore managed service provider (MSP) organization.
  • Provide oversight and governance across MSP-led engineering, architecture, delivery, and operational support functions.
  • Coordinate demand management, prioritization, roadmap execution, and service delivery activities across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Review and approve identity security designs, architecture standards, entitlement models, and access governance processes.
  • Balance operational priorities, team capacity, and budget considerations across enterprise identity initiatives.
  • Oversee enterprise identity lifecycle management processes integrated across HR systems, identity platforms, and critical enterprise applications.
  • Partner with HR and business teams to manage downstream identity impacts related to organizational and system changes.
  • Lead governance processes related to access provisioning, entitlement management, role administration, certifications, and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure identity solutions support secure authentication, authorization, RBAC, MFA, SSO, and privileged access controls.
  • Support implementation and enhancement efforts across identity platforms utilizing SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, LDAP, REST APIs, and related technologies.
  • Ensure identity governance processes align with enterprise security standards, SOX controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain risk registers, remediation tracking, and governance documentation related to access controls and identity management processes.
  • Partner with internal and external audit teams to provide documentation, evidence, and remediation support.
  • Support incident management, change management, root cause analysis, and operational governance activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to security posture, operational efficiency, and regulatory readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, development, operations, cybersecurity, and support teams to deliver scalable and secure identity solutions.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, and support procedures.
  • Monitor KPIs, adoption metrics, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness of identity services.
  • Promote process improvements, innovation, and modernization across enterprise identity capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of enterprise Identity Governance, IAM, or PAM experience within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
    • Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory
    • Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
    • RBAC and access governance
  • Experience supporting enterprise HR-driven identity lifecycle processes and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • SAML
    • OAuth2
    • OIDC
    • LDAP
    • REST APIs
    • JSON
  • Experience operating within highly regulated or compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of SOX controls, audit requirements, and governance processes.
  • Experience managing or coordinating large MSP-supported delivery organizations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Workday and Oracle ERP.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, SmartSheets, and ITIL processes.
  • Understanding of NIST CSF, vulnerability management, and enterprise security frameworks.
