Job description

This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office.

Overview:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Oxford Filling and Assembly operation - may include multiple cost centers (or all). Specific responsibilities include Ensuring that the workplace is safe, and employees work in a safe manner; Provide that all GMP requirements and regulations are complied with; Ensuring that all people issues and developmental needs are met; monitoring production requirements such that all customer needs are met on a timely basis; Responsible for all financial results of the operation.
  • Act as a backup to the Vice President of Manufacturing (as needed) and the Oxford site General Manager (as needed). Be aware of any major issues/action underway in other cost centers / production areas in order to fill in as needed.

Responsibilities:

Safety: Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained at all times. Provide resources necessary to be proactive towards addressing issues in the workplace. Comply with all OSHA & Revlon guidelines and procedures. Assist Safety Director as needed with task forces, projects and teams. Measures: Safety incident rate; OSHA & Workmen's comp rates; Revlon Safety Index.
People: Strive to make the Oxford site a great place to work by: proactively developing people (cross training, class work and challenges); Addressing all issues, concerns and disciplinary actions promptly and effectively; contributing to site efforts to address issues and concerns. Measures: GPTW survey results; Developmental activity; providing challenges & changes to drive the organization forward.
GMP / Regulatory: Ensure that all Revlon & Governmental Good Manufacturing Practices are complied with. Provide resources necessary to address any issues before the operation is adversely affected. Work with the site Quality Director (and others - as needed) to implement any new requirements due to new products or new regulations. Provide / facilitate training as needed. Ensure that all appropriate records are accurate and maintained within guidelines. Measures: First pass yields, rejection rates (domestic and international); GMP audit scores.

Customer Service: Ensure that all Customer requirements (domestic, international & special markets) are met per company objectives (Regular business forecast & Promotional commitments). Evaluate production needs on a forward basis to ensure that needed equipment and people resources are available to meet the customer's needs. Measures: Schedule adherence; % Dollars shipped vs. ordered (CSL); performance to promotional ship on time commitments.

Financial: Responsible for all financial aspects of the Filling and Assembly operation: Control of Labor - Direct (productive effort); Indirect (support effort); Nonstandard (Rework & First pass yield issues); Material - performance to established standards & minimization of waste; Overhead - effective utilization of management staff, supplies and ancillary equipment; Capital - effective, proactive utilization of installed equipment base, addressing capacity and new product needs with adequate lead time to meet customer's needs. Support and facilitate site cost reduction objectives. Measures: Labor - Direct efficiency, indirect % to earned, nonstandard % to earned; Material - MUV; Overhead - performance to budget & tasks.

    • Overhead - Supplies, executive staff, support labor - Up to $14 Million annually
    • Material - Value of material moved through the filling and assembly operation - $250 Million annually
    • Labor - Direct Labor managed in the filling and assembly operation - $30 Million annually

Responsible for establishing processes to:

  • Ensure that all employees in the operation have defined job duties and expectations and are managed according to those duties - and that timely corrective action takes place when needed.
  • Ensure that reasonable schedules are formulated, meeting customer's needs and equipment capability. Interface with appropriate departments as needed to affect change.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operational and performs within expected tolerances.
  • Ensure that all Revlon and governmental policies, guidelines, rules and procedures are followed and adhered to.
  • Interface with all other sites functional areas as needed (HR, Quality, Distribution, Finance, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of production equipment, especially safe operating techniques, product capabilities and trouble-shooting methods
  • Knowledge of planning / scheduling forecasting processes and systems
  • Knowledge and experience with operations in an FDA - GMP environment
  • Significant communication skills - verbal and written
  • High level ability to analyze situations, and ability to facilitate cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in people development and driving an organization forward
  • Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and use of MRP systems
  • Prefer a 4-year degree in an engineering discipline, but other areas of study will be considered with appropriate and relevant experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience required
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to effectively set and enforce company policy affecting up to 2,500 employees - communicate changes and issues to said group
  • Significant operating knowledge of the Cosmetic industry - products, equipment and business practices
  • Knowledge of Customer / Supplier relationships and how to best manage those to get results

Shift hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Revlon is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas for this role; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa support.

The base pay range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000 / year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled). Other benefits offered to employees include but are not limited to the following: long-term disability, supplemental life insurances, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, etc. Employees are also able to enroll in our 401k Retirement Savings Plan.

Employees will also receive 4 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
