Job description

Director of Strategic Golf Partnerships - Connecticut

Build Relationships. Grow Businesses. Transform the Golf Community.

About Teebox

Teebox is building America's trusted golf business network.

Instead of selling traditional advertising, we're creating meaningful relationships between golfers and the businesses that support the game they love.

Our mission is simple:

Relationships. Not Leads.

Every year, Teebox recognizes the Top 10 businesses across dozens of golf-related categories while connecting golfers with businesses they can trust. Through exclusive Category Sponsorships, personal introductions, original content, networking, and year-round promotion, we're helping businesses become recognized leaders within the golf community.

We're looking for exceptional people who want to help build something special.

Position Summary

As the Director of Strategic Golf Partnerships, you will serve as the business development leader for your assigned territory while working remotely from your home office.

Teebox is rapidly expanding across the United States, and you'll play a key role in establishing our presence within your market. Think of yourself as building the Teebox business community in your territory—from the ground up.

This is first and foremost a hunter sales position. Your primary responsibility is identifying exceptional businesses, opening new doors, scheduling Discovery Meetings, and securing exclusive Category Sponsorships.

As your portfolio of sponsors grows, your role naturally evolves beyond sales into strategic

relationship management. You'll become a trusted advisor to your partners, helping them maximize their sponsorship through personal introductions, networking opportunities, business development, and long-term relationship building.

You won't simply sell sponsorships.

You'll build one of the strongest golf business communities in your market while helping shape the future of one of the fastest-growing golf media companies in the country.

Primary Responsibilities

1. New Business Development (60%)

Your primary mission is generating new sponsorship revenue.

You'll spend the majority of your time:

  • Prospecting new businesses every day
  • Cold calling decision-makers
  • Building referral networks
  • Networking throughout your territory
  • Setting Discovery Meetings
  • Conducting sponsorship presentations
  • Closing Category Sponsorships
  • Closing AmplifiedExposureTM partnerships
  • Developing a consistently healthy sales pipeline
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly activity and revenue goals

This role rewards people who enjoy opening new doors and creating new opportunities.

2. Relationship Management (20%)

After earning a sponsorship, you'll help your partners maximize every benefit Teebox provides.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building long-term relationships
  • Becoming a trusted advisor
  • Coordinating personal business introductions
  • Introducing sponsors to fellow Category Sponsors
  • Maintaining regular communication
  • Helping sponsors grow their business
  • Identifying renewal opportunities
  • Generating referrals
  • Ensuring an exceptional sponsor experience

⛳ 3. Golf Community Development (10%)

Become one of the most connected professionals in your local golf community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with golf facilities
  • Networking with golf professionals
  • Attending golf events
  • Expanding Teebox's local presence
  • Developing strategic partnerships
  • Identifying future Top 50 nominees
  • Growing the overall Teebox network

4. Sponsor Success & Brand Representation (10%)

Help sponsors receive maximum value from their partnership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating interviews
  • Assisting with content opportunities
  • Promoting sponsor success stories
  • Supporting Top 10 recognition events
  • Representing the Teebox brand professionally
  • Ensuring every sponsor receives the value they were promised

What Success Looks Like

Successful Directors consistently:

  • Generate new Discovery Meetings every week
  • Build a full sales pipeline
  • Close new sponsorships
  • Create lasting business relationships
  • Develop strong referral networks
  • Maintain high sponsor retention
  • Become respected within the golf community
  • Grow revenue year after year
