Position Summary:
The Stage Manager (s) will work, grow, and support the Swamp Rabbits Game Entertainment and Game Operations and will be supervised by the Manager, Game Entertainment & Content as well as the Senior Director, Fan Experience. This role serves as the stagehand on the arena floor and ensures all elements are where they need to be when they need to be there to execute a successful show.
As part of the Game Entertainment team and a broader part of the Fan Experience department, this role will be essential in the execution of the Swamp Rabbits game experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists with pre-game & post-game entertainment set up and tear down
  • Provides support to parties during rehearsals, i.e., sound checks (anthem singers, special performances, dance groups, intermission activations)
  • Aids in the effective execution of pre-game, in-game, and post-game ceremonies & activations - serves as the primary on-floor lead for entertainment staff with direction from show caller
  • Responsible for ensuring both the timing and accurate execution of all pre-game, in-game, and post-game ceremonies & activations assigned
  • Serves as a liaison between the game production staff to set up and cue Entertainment Staff, Host, and other talent for activations & ceremonies
  • Work with producers and camera operators to help frame and set up live shots
  • Communicates with the show caller regarding any issues/delays/problems regarding scripted elements and relays information to necessary parties
  • Helps guide Game Entertainment interns on game days as assigned
  • Manage & provide first-class service and assistance to traveling national acts, costumeers, & other outsourced entertainment.
  • Find/secure contestants and escort talent, game participants, and/ or talent as requested
  • Ensure that all necessary safety precautions have been taken regarding participants in activations & other activities - i.e. waivers and helmets for on ice activations
  • Gathers and secures prizing elements for activations, ensures they are correct, & distributes as instructed
  • Gives clear and correct communication regarding participating parties in activations and ceremonies.

Qualifications:
  • Must be over 18+ years of age
  • Previous experience in game presentation and/ or game operations is strongly preferred
  • Available for 75 percent of our 25-26 home games
  • Takes initiative and is action-oriented
  • Organized and efficient, process- and execution driven
  • An effective communicator and leader-able to direct different types of personnel in a first-class manner
  • Creative - strives to think outside of the box and impact the game day environment
  • Timely - able to guide and facilitate all needed elements of the show on time and correctly
  • Ability to multi-task, thrives in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Can carry 20-50 pounds at a time as needed
