Job description

At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our employees around the world work to discover and bring life‑changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to our communities through philanthropy and volunteerism. We give our best effort to our work, and we put people first. We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.

The Digital Performance Coordinator owns and leads the entire digital strategy for healthcare professionals (HCPs) who are not visited by sales reps. This role acts as a business driver, focusing on measurable prescription impact through digital channels, rather than simply executing promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a fully digital engagement model for non‑visited HCPs, delivering educational and promotional content to influence prescription behavior.
  • Take ownership of performance outcomes across digital channels, tracking HCP acquisition, engagement, returning rates, journey progression, and incremental prescription impact.
  • Lead and coordinate creative, paid media, SEO/SEM, social media, and content agencies, ensuring business objectives are translated into performance‑driven execution.
  • Develop and manage data analysis frameworks to identify links between digital engagement, journey depth, and prescription lift.
  • Continuously optimize operational expenses (OPEX) and media allocation in real time, reallocating investment based on performance and return on investment (ROI).
  • Act as the digital business owner, using insights to recommend improvements for omnichannel strategy and future planning.
  • Conduct direct HCP interactions as needed, supporting the digital journey rather than acting as a primary detailing activity.
  • Negotiate and manage vendors to ensure business‑focused results, not just executional deliverables.
Success Metrics
  • Incremental prescription lift attributed to digital engagement
  • Cost per engaged HCP / cost per incremental prescription
  • Engagement depth and returning rates
  • Media efficiency and OPEX optimization
  • Conversion rates through the digital funnel
Accountability Scope
  • Responsible for digital performance outcomes, not activity volume
  • Controls and optimizes digital OPEX and media investment
  • Accountable for ROI, efficiency, and incremental prescription impact

The Digital Performance Coordinator is a performance‑driven, ROI‑accountable business owner, focused on generating measurable prescription impact through optimized digital ecosystems. They design, execute, and continuously improve a digital engagement model for non‑rep‑visited HCPs, orchestrating multiple channels and vendors to create incremental value, not just executional volume.

The role directly influences business outcomes and investment decisions, making them eligible for performance‑based incentives linked to ROI and prescription impact. Success is measured by engagement quality, journey progression, and prescription outcomes, not by the number of contacts or promotional activities.
