The Senior Director, Procurement Glass will be a key contributor to meeting CEPG's 2030 strategic pillars. This position will work for the CEPG (Cross Enterprise Procurement Group) Managing Director. The position will manage the Coca-Cola System's glass strategic sourcing in the Americas as well as monitoring upstream inputs such as Soda Ash, Gas & Electricity, and Cullet. The person in this role will support Bottlers and Operating Units who participate in the CEPG Glass program and initiatives. The position provides leadership for sourcing events, key relationship management, sustainability initiatives and supply continuity strategies. In addition, this position is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the CEPG Glass strategies in line with The Coca-Cola System's vision. This position will be based in Atlanta, and the position will support Glass initiatives across all the Americas as well as Asia Pacific countries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead the sourcing process for approximately $500 MM of Glass category annual expenditure.

  • Influence key stakeholders in the bottler system and within the Coca-Cola company up to the SVP/CPO levels. Lead a matrixed team of procurement and technical personnel from the bottling community on projects.

  • Develop sourcing strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior management of strategically important global and regional suppliers to support and enhance the supply strategies of the KO system.

  • Develop sustainability strategies for Glass and connect strategies with KO and CEPG leadership, increase participation by our key suppliers in sustainability initiatives, drive World Without Waste & climate goals, serve as a liaison to key TCCC and bottler sustainability stakeholders.

  • Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the volume of the Coca-Cola system.

  • Deliver sustainable financial value in line with CEPG goals and category business plans by executing sourcing strategies, events, and projects

  • Hands-on development of contract terms and conditions in collaboration with bottlers to deliver maximum procurement value.

  • Assist in developing price forecast to KO and bottling system senior management as a critical input in the business planning process.

  • Identify and monitor key supply chain cost components (unbundling) for relevant categories.

  • Ensure continuity of supply through supply-based management and development and execution of business continuity plans.

  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the Coca-Cola system.

  • Monitor and project long term global supply/demand analysis (capacity planning) for all relevant regions to ensure Coca-Cola's global, regional and local needs are met.

  • Develop alternative supply point strategies remaining cognizant of bottler assets as required.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to Bottlers' associates to build relationships, improve collaboration and increase Network participation.

  • Develop extended team member talent by providing leadership, coaching and opportunities, as appropriate, to strengthen System expertise in Glass procurement.

  • Build alignment with internal stakeholder groups of the sourcing strategy and procurement process for products/services to identify business needs and to ensure compliance with operational standards.

  • Embrace digital tools and AI to enhance category strategies, opportunities, and performance.

Related Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelors or masters degree, MBA preferred.

  • 10 years' related work experience

  • Procurement/supply management experience

  • Internal stakeholder management & ability to influence

  • International experience working across different geographies and cultures

  • English proficiency, Spanish is a plus

  • This is a global role that collaborates with teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones and requires significant travel. Flexibility to work outside of standard local business hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, might be required to meet business demands.
