Job Overview:
The Clinical Informatics Specialist under the direction of the Informatics Director integrates clinical science with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports nurses, consumers, patients, the interprofessional healthcare team, and other stakeholders in the use of technology to support clinical care.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 3+ years clinical experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:
  • Active RN or clinical Licensure in NJ

Essential Functions:
  • Activities include but are not limited to collaborating with customers and other IT team members to partner to define problems
  • Participates in the design, development, implementation, education, and evaluation of technology in clinical areas
  • In addition, they are responsible for advocacy, identification of issues, documentation, and escalation of issues
  • The Clinical Informatics Specialist will work with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect and shared values
  • They will communicate with patients, families, communities, and professionals in health and other fields in a responsive and responsible manner that supports a team's approach to the promotion and maintenance of health
