Early Learning Center Director

Blessed Generations Academy (BGA)
Location: Rock Springs, Florida
Position Type: Full-Time

Blessed Generations Academy (BGA) is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and visionary Early learning center Director to lead our Christ-centered center serving children ages 2–5 years, including our Florida VPK Program.

This is an exciting opportunity for a servant leader who is passionate about early childhood education, committed to operational excellence, and dedicated to partnering with families while creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment rooted in biblical values.

The Early learning center Director serves as the instructional and operational leader of the center, overseeing daily operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, enrollment growth, and family engagement while supporting BGA's mission of "Rooted in Faith, Growing in Wisdom, Leading in Purpose."

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Administration

  • Provide strong, Christ-centered leadership for the Early Learning center.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional workplace culture.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate teachers and staff.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and coaching.
  • Lead staff meetings and professional development.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Program Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation of the center.
  • Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing regulations.
  • Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Ensure classrooms remain safe, clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support quality early childhood education.

Curriculum & Educational Excellence

  • Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Promote kindergarten readiness and high-quality instruction.
  • Integrate Christian values and character development throughout the program.
  • Monitor classroom quality and child outcomes.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Build trusting relationships with families.
  • Address parent questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.
  • Promote open communication and excellent customer service.
  • Represent Blessed Generations Academy professionally within the community.
  • Support enrollment, tours, and community outreach initiatives. Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain licensing records and required documentation.
  • Oversee incident reporting and risk management.
  • Ensure staff complete all required training and certifications.

Business & Enrollment Support

  • Assist with enrollment growth and family retention.
  • Support budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and resource management.
  • Maintain accurate personnel and student records.
  • Collaborate with Academy leadership to achieve organizational goals. Qualifications

Required

  • Meet all Florida licensing requirements to serve as a Early learning Center Director.
  • Director Credential recognized by the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience in a licensed early childhood education program.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida DCF licensing regulations and VPK requirements.
  • Level 2 Background Screening.
  • Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience leading a faith-based early learning center.
  • Experience with staff development, enrollment management, and quality improvement initiatives.
