What you'll be doing

The Regional Private Banking Administrator holds a critical role within the CIBC Private Banking Regional team. The primary purpose is to provide operational and tactical support to the Region's Managing Director and team, ensuring the achievement of regional operational goals. The role coordinates and implements multiple management functions associated with the region's daily business, delivering high-level service to internal and external clients through effective consulting with leadership, Private Bankers, and internal partners.
In addition, a key element of this role is supporting the MD's local focus on building strategic partnerships across CIBC Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Wood Gundy/PIC, and Imperial Service to drive new business to Private Banking. The Administrator is responsible for capturing, analyzing, and presenting data that enables the MD to track and measure partnership success and present results to senior leadership.

How you'll succeed

  • Business Enablement & Administration - Understand regional business goals, objectives, and operating environment; develop and implement plans to enable the business in meeting goals and objectives. implementation and reporting requirements are met. Act as the single point of contact for all regional administrative activities. Manage day-to-day administrative activities in support of the Regional Managing Director. Develop administrative procedures and processes as needed. Manage headcount and the allocation of human resources across the region. Build strong partnerships with key support groups and business partners.
  • Data Capture, Reporting & Analysis - Capture, track, and analyze partnership and client data across CIBC Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Wood Gundy/PIC, and Imperial Service to support Private Banking growth. Develop and maintain reporting structures and dashboards that enable the MD to monitor strategic partnership effectiveness, client acquisition, and business development initiatives. Present data and insights in a clear, actionable format for senior leadership review, supporting measurement of success and decision-making. Ensure regular contact with relationship managers and partners to collect relevant information for reporting and analysis. Proactively identify and recommend improvements to data capture and reporting processes, leveraging CRM systems and tools such as Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.   • Research & Special Projects - Conduct research and analysis on behalf of the Regional Managing Director as it relates to special projects that may influence strategic and/or operational initiatives. Support the MD in developing strategies to earn new business and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Communication & Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact and conduit for the flow of communication for the region. Collaborate with partners (Finance, HR, Compliance, Business Risk, Technology, Marketing, Product, Corporate Real Estate, Training & Development) to meet job requirements and resolve business issues.   • Operational Problem Solving - Resolve routine operational problems by investigating, analyzing, and providing informed opinions or recommendations. Modify established procedures and approaches to suit specific situations and escalate issues as required.
