What is a direct mail specialist?

A direct mail specialist is a professional responsible for planning, creating, and managing direct mail marketing campaigns. They work with businesses to design mail pieces, develop target mailing lists, and coordinate the production and distribution of printed materials to reach specific audiences. Marketing Director — Home Energy Pros
Fort Wayne, IN | Full-Time, In-Office

About Us
Home Energy Pros is a fast-growing home energy services company delivering radiant barrier insulation, solar attic fans, water filtration, and air purification solutions to homeowners across Indiana, Maryland, and Virginia — with a new market launching in Columbus, OH. We're a door-to-door sales-driven business built on a proven canvassing model, and we're investing heavily in marketing infrastructure to fuel our next stage of growth.
The Role
We're looking for a Marketing Director to own our marketing strategy end-to-end — from lead generation and brand positioning to CRM systems and campaign performance. You'll work directly with ownership to turn marketing into a predictable, scalable growth engine across multiple markets, and you'll manage the team executing on it (including our CRM/campaign lead).
What You'll Do

  • Own marketing strategy across all active and expansion markets (IN, MD/VA, Columbus)
  • Drive lead generation across direct mail (EDDM), paid social (Meta), and other channels
  • Oversee GoHighLevel CRM strategy — pipeline structure, automation, reactivation campaigns, and reporting
  • Manage and mentor marketing team members (including a Marketing Manager/CRM lead)
  • Analyze campaign performance and close rates to optimize spend and messaging
  • Partner with sales leadership to align marketing output with canvassing/closer capacity
  • Build repeatable playbooks for new market launches (using Columbus as the next test case)
  • Manage vendor relationships (mailers, ad platforms, skip tracing, DNC compliance, etc.)
What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in marketing, with at least 2+ in a leadership or director-level role
  • Experience with CRM platforms (GoHighLevel a strong plus) and marketing automation
  • Direct mail and/or paid social campaign management experience
  • Comfort working with data — close rates, CPL, campaign ROI — to drive decisions
  • Experience in home services, D2D sales, or a similarly fast-paced field-sales environment strongly preferred
  • A builder's mindset — comfortable creating systems from scratch, not just maintaining them
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage a small, growing team
What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + performance bonus structure
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • IRA retirement plan
  • Paid time off
  • Company trips/incentive travel
  • Real ownership over marketing strategy at a company in aggressive growth mode
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (in-office)
