Job Description

Bindery Operator – Folder/Cutter

We are seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to join a growing print production team. This role is mainly focused on folder and cutter operation within the finishing department.

Job Summary:

  • Operate bindery equipment with a primary focus on folders and cutters
  • Support finishing production by completing jobs accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards
  • Work in a fast-paced print production environment while maintaining strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate folder and cutter equipment
  • Read and follow job tickets, layouts, and production specifications
  • Perform cutting, folding, trimming, and other bindery finishing tasks
  • Make machine adjustments to ensure accuracy, quality, and production efficiency
  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work closely with production, pressroom, and finishing teams to meet deadlines
  • Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards

Requirements:

  • Previous bindery experience required
  • Folder and cutter experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets and production specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments
