Job description

ABC17 News is seeking a full-time sales and marketing content creator. The on-camera position employs the standard Multimedia Journalist's skills of writing, shooting, and editing with the flare of social media content creation. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient and expected to produce video-driven stories about local businesses in a unique way that generates community buzz.
Job Description:
This position is expected to foster good relationships with local businesses and work directly with business owners and managers. You will be expected to produce multi-platform content each week for distribution on social media and television. Depending upon the content, you may also be expected to produce and/or front stories for television newscasts and/or the station's website.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively, be a strong writer and possess superior organizational skills. Well-honed videography and video editing skills are a must as well as professional on-camera presence and personality. A bachelor's degree in journalism, communication or related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus. Candidate must have a valid Missouri driver's license while driving company vehicles and pass a drug test and background check.
