Overview

-The Marketing Strategist is responsible for shaping and guiding the organization’s digital marketing strategy to ensure all efforts are data-driven, measurable, and optimized for performance. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing key channels such as email, social media, website marketing (SEO, AEO, CRO), and digital content.

Working closely with internal creative, production, and marketing teams—as well as external agency partners—this role ensures that all marketing efforts are optimized for digital effectiveness, aligned with business goals, and tied to clear performance outcomes. The Digital Marketing Strategist brings a strong measurement mindset, connecting campaigns and content to meaningful data and continuously improving results.


-Reports to the Director of Marketing Technology (or appropriate leader)


Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing has four major responsibility areas:

-Digital Strategy & Channel Leadership

▪ Develop and lead digital marketing strategies across email, social media, website, and content 

channels.

▪ Define channel-specific goals, audiences, messaging approaches, and performance benchmarks.

▪ Ensure all digital efforts are aligned with broader marketing and organizational objectives.

▪  Identify opportunities to improve digital presence, reach, engagement, and conversion.

▪ Oversee SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and CRO strategies to improve discoverability and 

conversion.

▪  Continuously analyze and optimize campaign performance across all digital channels.

▪  Implement testing strategies (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to improve outcomes.

▪  Translate insights into actionable recommendations for ongoing improvement.

▪  Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks for campaigns and initiatives.

▪ Connect marketing efforts to measurable business outcomes (traffic, engagement, conversions, 

etc.).

▪  Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and insights to inform decision-making.

▪  Ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms and tools.

-Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration

▪ Partner with creative, studio production, and marketing teams to enhance digital effectiveness of 

all deliverables.

▪ Provide strategic guidance to ensure content is optimized for digital platforms and user 

behavior.

▪ Work closely with marketing project managers to align timelines, priorities, and deliverables.

▪ Collaborate with external agency partners to execute campaigns and initiatives.

▪  Provide clear direction, strategy, and performance expectations to partners.

▪ Evaluate agency performance and ensure deliverables meet quality and performance standards.

-Execution

▪ Contribute directly to campaign setup, optimization, and performance analysis as needed.

▪  Support content planning and digital campaign execution across channels.

▪  Assist in implementing tools, tagging, tracking, and optimization tactics.

-Innovation & Continuous Improvement

▪  Stay current on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

▪  Identify new opportunities to enhance marketing effectiveness in digital spaces.

▪ Introduce new ideas, technologies, and approaches to improve team performance and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on strategy and performance.

-Preferred

  • Experience managing multiple digital channels and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience working with or managing external agencies.
  • Experience collaborating with creative and production teams.
  • Familiarity with SEO, AEO, CRO, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems).
