Job description

Your Role in Our Mission

The Digital Marketing Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting Food Bank of the Rockies' mission by ensuring digital marketing and fundraising systems operate efficiently and effectively. This position manages website content updates, email deployment, digital CRM administration, online forms, and marketing automation while collaborating with team members across the organization to support fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement efforts. The Specialist serves as a trusted resource for digital marketing execution, helping deliver accurate, timely, and impactful communications that connect supporters with the organization's work.

 

What You’ll Do

Website Management

  • Deploy and maintain content on the Food Bank of the Rockies and Food Bank of Wyoming websites, including team member-requested updates, blogs, forms, and related content.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for website-related requests and coordinate with the Food Bank’s website consultant on larger projects and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain vanity URLs and QR codes that support campaigns, events, and organizational communications.
  • Monitor website usability and recommend improvements to strengthen the user experience.

 

Email Marketing

  • Build, test, and deploy mass email communications, including digital newsletters, event-related emails, and other organizational communications as needed.
  • Ensure email audiences are accurate and content formatting, layout, and links are optimized before deployment.
  • Train and assist Food Bank team members who use the email platform.

 

Digital CRM Administration

  • Administer digital CRM tools, including Engaging Networks, to support email, form, survey, and donation-page needs.
  • Collaborate with the Development Data Team to understand, maintain, and improve digital audience segments.
  • Build and manage event registration forms, online surveys, and donation landing pages.
  • Monitor and maintain email automations to ensure they remain accurate and effective.

 

Fundraising and Donor Stewardship Support

  • Support fundraising email needs by gathering relevant photos, beneficiary testimonials, graphic design assets, and other content from the marketing asset library.
  • Regularly share timely and relevant assets with Development Officers to support donor stewardship, including new blogs, neighbor photos and testimonials, videos, and other content.
  • Ensure Development team members have access to current, compelling content that supports donor engagement and stewardship efforts.

 

Workflow, Communication, and Confidentiality

  • Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders to keep assigned work requests, deadlines, and deliverables current and accurately documented in the organization’s workflow management platform.
  • Communicate timely status updates to colleagues across departments regarding assigned work and project progress.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and care, ensuring the privacy and respect of employees, volunteers, partners, donors, and others.
  • Perform other related assignments as needed.

What We’re Looking For 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree a plus; or equivalent work-related experience. 
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting digital marketing operations, email marketing, website administration, CRM administration, or related work.
  • Experience working with website content management systems.
  • Experience building and deploying mass email communications.
  • Experience working with online forms, surveys, or CRM databases.
  • Basic HTML editing experience.
  • Commitment to fulfilling Food Bank of the Rockies mission and positively representing the brand both internally and externally
  • Working knowledge of website content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
  • Understanding of digital marketing operations fundamentals, including email campaigns, online forms, donation pages, and audience segmentation.
  • Basic understanding of website structure, URLs, redirects, and QR code usage.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors before deployment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures while maintaining accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Ability to learn and navigate new digital platforms and technologies quickly
  • Experience building and deploying emails, online forms, surveys, or digital marketing assets.
  • Ability to manage routine digital production tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic website, email, and CRM issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with donor and constituent information
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization

Expected Hours of Work:

This is an exempt, full-time position. Work schedules may vary each week and consist of weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. A flexible work schedule is available with the option to work remotely from Colorado. In-person work is required a minimum of 3 days per week, or more often based on organizational need.
