This position will provide strategic leadership and hands-on management for our fulfillment operations, including 3PL partnerships. The Senior Manager will drive operational excellence, optimize performance, and ensure seamless end-to-end fulfillment processes to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the 3PL fulfillment operations team, ensuring precision and efficiency in receiving, inventory management, order processing and shipping.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Vendor Management and Development: Build and maintain strong sustainable relationships with 3PL partners, collaborating closely to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and operational processes.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with 3PL partners to secure favorable terms and service level agreements that maximizing organization value.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement streamlined processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to optimize fulfillment operations, minimize errors, and reduce lead times.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage technology solutions, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and order management platforms, to enhance visibility, data accuracy, and reporting. Build business cases for system enhancements and collaboration with technical partners for implementation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, customer service, inventory planning, merchants, and external partners to ensure seamless communication, creative problem solving and alignment of objectives.
  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop a high-preforming operations teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the fulfillment process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimal disruptions.
  • Other duties or missions: as assigned, adapt to changes in job requirements, learning and applying new skills as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management and fulfillment operations, with a focus on 3PL partnerships, lean practices and continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing 3PL operations to meet or exceed KPIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive process improvements. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Able to tailor communication to different audience, from coaching on the fulfillment center floor to briefing executives.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), Transportation management systems (TMS), order management systems (OMS), returns management systems (RMS), and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor management. 
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to mentor and develop a diverse team.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment and accountability to delivering high-quality results.
  • Naturally curious and agile, with a focus on seeking new opportunities and innovative ways of working.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and trends.
