POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Business Partner serves as the strategic connection between the Digital team and assigned business domains by aligning business strategy with digital priorities, shaping demand and roadmaps, and ensuring investments deliver measurable value.
RESPONSIBILITES
  • Builds and maintains trusted, strategic relationships with senior business leaders, leadership committees and functional stakeholders within assigned domains.
  • Develops and maintains a documented digital strategy for the assigned domain.
  • Proactively surfaces strategic opportunities and risks, staying ahead of business needs.
  • Shapes, filters, and prioritizes incoming business demand before handing off to Product Management.
  • Partners with Product Management to align roadmaps to business strategy.
  • Influences product backlog prioritization with Product Management.
  • Reports on value realization of digital initiatives back to business leadership.
  • Delivers complete business cases with clear problem statements, desired outcomes, success criteria, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Consolidates and redirects requests to existing products when possible.
  • Validates business alignment during technology evaluations.
Success Criteria
  • Business leaders in the domain have an active, intentional relationship with their Digital Business Partner, which is reflected in stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Business leaders in the domain are well informed of progress of Digital initiatives.
  • Each assigned domain has a current, documented digital strategy co-developed with business leadership.
  • Strategic opportunities and risks are surfaced proactively, not reactively.
  • Active portfolio items are consistently mapped to documented business priorities and strategic anchors.
  • Prioritized investments have measurable business outcomes defined before the work begins.
  • Incoming requests are consolidated, redirected, or filtered before reaching Product Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in business / IT strategy, digital transformation, or portfolio / product leadership roles, including direct work with senior business stake holders.
  • Demonstrated track record building trusted relationship with senior business leaders and operating as a strategic partner for a function or domain.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills - clear, concise, and confident with the ability to facilitate decisions with senior business leaders.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and drive enterprise first outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of demand management, portfolio prioritization, business case development, and value realization.
  • Solid understanding of product management disciplines (roadmaps, backlogs, product health).
  • Prior experience in digital business partnering, management consulting, product management, or enterprise portfolio management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (industry experience in construction/engineering is a plus, not required).
