POSITION OVERVIEW

The DevOps engineer will play a key role in managing various phases of software development project from developing and testing to delivery and support. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying modern technical solutions in a Datacenter on-premise environment, and be able to integrate software development and IT operations into a single continuous process with a solid foundation of technical and management skills. The role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.

JOB SCOPE

  • Implements various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Understands customer needs and leads project execution through team planning
  • Defines and outlines processes for development, testing, releases, updates and support according to DevOps standards
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in software development including reviewing, verifying and validating
  • Monitors all processes throughout the project lifecycle and creates new processes as needed including automation
  • Performs vulnerability checks to ensure system security and compliance
  • Conducts root cause analysis and incidence management
  • Selects and deploys relevant CI/CD tools for building pipeline and continuous improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 years of experience in a software developer or equivalent role; DevOps role with project management experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in working with Git workflows
  • Excellent understanding of scripting languages such as Bash Scripting, Python, Go, etc.
  • Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
  • Good understanding of various DevOps tools, open-source technologies, cloud-based services, and automation tools
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL preferred
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiatives and work with a collaborative spirit

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to visit company offices and/or property locations.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

A background check and drug/substance screening are required after a conditional offer. Employment will proceed only upon receiving clear results from both.

ThreatLocker also conducts randomized drug and substance testing approximately every 60 days, in line with the same screening standards.
