Job description

About Gorin Systems

Gorin Systems is an AI-first software agency that builds web and mobile applications for mission-driven organizations — Jewish nonprofits, publishers, e-commerce companies, and SaaS startups. We're looking for a Client Project Manager who is equal parts relationship builder and developer: someone who can lead a client meeting with confidence, then review a technical spec with genuine understanding.

The Role

You are the single trusted point of contact for each assigned client. You own the relationship end-to-end — leading meetings, capturing requirements, managing scope and budget, performing QA, and presenting completed work. You co-manage projects alongside a Technical Project Manager (TPM) who owns the technical execution.

This is not a relay role. You are expected to understand the product technically, write plain-English specs developers can build from, and use AI tools (Claude, Linear MCP) as force multipliers in your daily workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship: Single point of contact. Respond within 1 business day. Translate tech into business language. No surprises.
  • Meeting Leadership: Prep agendas, lead client calls, capture action items, hand off Linear tasks with plain-English outlines within 2 hours.
  • Issue Management: Every client request from any channel makes it into Linear. Use Claude + MCP to search, draft, and maintain the board.
  • Spec Review: Write requirement outlines; review TPM technical specs to confirm they match client intent before dev begins.
  • QA: User-level review of all completed work before the client sees it. Record Loom walkthroughs.
  • Scope & Budget: Monitor hours against approved budgets, get client approval before exceeding scope.
  • Daily Triage: Morning scan of all client channels. Acknowledge urgently, capture everything into Linear.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent technical degree, or bootcamp
  • Able to build basic web and/or mobile applications using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, React Native, or similar)
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented, critical thinker, quick learner
  • Available during core hours: 9 AM – 1 PM EST
  • Willing to start part-time, with the possibility of a full-time position
Preferred
  • 1+ year of hands-on software development work experience
  • Basic Hebrew reading comprehension (many projects involve Hebrew content)
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships or projects simultaneously
  • Previous agency or consulting experience
Compensation & Structure
  • Contractor to start
  • Part-time (~20 hrs/week), with the possibility of full-time based on performance
  • Fully remote — must be available during 9 AM – 1 PM EST core hours
Why Gorin Systems?
  • AI-first agency: Work at the cutting edge of AI-assisted development.
  • Meaningful projects: Software for great organizations making a real impact.
  • Growth path: Start with a few clients and grow your portfolio and compensation.
  • Continuous learning: Weekly team sessions on AI developments and best practices.
  • Developer-first culture: You're a technical professional who happens to be client-facing — not a glorified secretary.
