About the Role

We're looking for a CRM Manager who is equal parts strategist and project manager. This person will own our customer relationship, email, and SMS marketing programs end-to-end, keep cross-functional projects moving, and work closely with outside vendors to execute campaigns. This role also provides light support on our Shopify site as needed, so familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus. We need someone who takes full ownership of their initiatives, communicates proactively, and drives projects to completion without needing to be chased.

Key Responsibilities

CRM, Email & SMS Marketing

  • Own the strategy, calendar, and execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns (promotional, lifecycle, transactional, and automated flows)
  • Manage the relationship with our email and SMS marketing platform(s)/vendors, serving as the main point of contact for troubleshooting, optimization, and new feature rollout
  • Build, segment, and maintain customer lists and audiences (email and SMS) to support targeted campaigns
  • Grow and manage SMS subscriber lists through compliant opt-in strategies and on-site/checkout sign-up integrations
  • Monitor and report on key CRM metrics across email and SMS (open rates, click-through, conversion, list growth, opt-out/churn) and use insights to improve performance
  • Maintain data hygiene and ensure CRM data integrity across systems
  • Develop and refine customer segmentation and lifecycle strategies across email and SMS (welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, loyalty, flash sales, etc.)
  • Ensure email and SMS marketing practices comply with relevant regulations (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, etc.)

Project Management

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities across marketing and CRM initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with design, content, e-commerce, and external vendors to keep projects on track
  • Set up and maintain project tracking systems, ensuring visibility into status, blockers, and deadlines
  • Proactively identify risks or delays and resolve them before they impact launch dates
  • Run project check-ins and status updates with stakeholders

Shopify Support

  • Assist with routine Shopify site maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Support product page updates, promotional setup, and campaign landing pages tied to CRM initiatives
  • Coordinate with the Shopify developer on projects that intersect CRM/email/SMS and the storefront (e.g., pop-ups, sign-up forms, personalization)
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing CRM, email, and SMS marketing programs (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms)
  • Strong project management skills with experience juggling multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships
  • Comfortable working with customer data, segmentation, and basic reporting/analytics
  • Excellent written communication skills for both customer-facing copy (email and SMS) and internal coordination
  • A self-starter mentality. Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and anticipates needs rather than waiting for direction
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Shopify (basic product/content management, apps, or theme editor)
  • Experience with project management tools (Asana,Monday.com, Trello, etc.)
  • Background in e-commerce or retail marketing
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email template edits
  • Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization across email and SMS
What Success Looks Like
  • Email and SMS campaigns are planned, executed, and optimized on schedule with measurable performance gains
  • Vendor relationships run smoothly, with issues resolved quickly and proactively
  • Cross-functional projects stay on track, with clear communication and minimal missed deadlines
  • Stakeholders trust this role to manage priorities independently and flag problems before they become bottlenecks

  • Insurance & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus savings plans.
  • Retirement Savings: Plan for your future with a 401(k) savings plan featuring a company match.
